I’ll be off to Dotcon tomorrow. It’s a small convention, but hopefully I’ll be able to get some cosplay snapshots as well as usefull shots during the BLOOD concert.
The gallery from Sunday is finally up – not as many pictures as I thought I had. Over all it was an ok convention with a few highlights. The caliber of the musical guest is impressive. Also the size and pace of the con lent itself well to easily striking up meaningful conversations with people. I think I’ll definitely consider going again next year.

One of the things that Dotcon does very well, for it’s size, is bringing in Japanese musical guests. This year the Metal/Visual Kei band Luzmelt was the musical act for the night. It was fun taking photos during the concert, lots of awesome energy and these guys definitely make a big visual impact as well. The concert was later followed by a dance and I was able to take a few photos of that. Sunday photos should up be in the next post in a couple of days.

I had a chance to do a photoshoot with a couple of beautiful girls cosplaying Rue from Princess Tutu and Hatsune Miku in a rocker outfit. The hotel had a little garden out front and this provided a nice setting and good light for these two awesome cosplayers.

Dotcon 2010 has, like previous years moved to a new location in Toronto. And like previous years has focused on bringing a Japanese musical guest. Quite a feat for a fairly new, small and hopefully growing convention. I’ve posted most of the pictures taken on Saturday. The next post should have the rest of the Saturday photos as well as photos from the Luzmelt concert.
